Melanie, is swept up with all things inspired. Music, painting, architecture, woodworking, ideas with how to create something new. She works out of her studio which she designed and built in 2000. Her passion for how things work and are put together gives her the understanding to show others. But nature is her greatest love and teacher, and her artist's sense comes from its careful observation.

Trained as a painter at a very young age with a traditional art background, she discovered digital art in 1990 and never looked back. In the beginning she utilized these skills as an art director for Rodale, a publisher of health and wellness publications, and later jumped into digital imagery on her own.

"The digital world has given license for anything imagined." Her digital skills lend an art aesthetic to the usual look of digital work. She can't seem to leave the painter behind.
